Solids are just what they say they are solids  they are very durable. Tons of colors to choose from Looks great on existing concrete with minimal damage. 

Acid or Chemical  stains are very durable with a deep chemical reaction to concrete.  Colors are limited.  Existing concrete can be slightly damaged "Character"

We use a lot of acid free stain its great for the environment and very safe to use. It haves tons of colors to choose from and mixing colors is simple. Its also penetrates concrete very well.
